Access image distillation with various devices via the cloud

This is an online cloud service. It provides access to image distillation in the cloud for various devices connected to a network including cameras, smartphones, computers and servers.
With recent technologies such as deep learning garnering significant attention, there is a growing need for image processing and image analysis of camera images. However, implementing image processing for specific use cases can be challenging due to the high cost of equipment and the specialized knowledge required for setup. Additionally, off-the-shelf equipment and software often fall short of achieving desired results, leading to wasted time and unnecessary expenditure on trial and error.
Cloud services allow image processing to be implemented easily, offering a time-efficient solution to various use cases without the need to purchase additional equipment or software. Even if the desired results are not achieved, minimal time is spent evaluating the suitability of the technology.
These services can also be used on an as-needed basis, enabling low-cost implementation without the need to purchase expensive equipment or computers.
Our cloud service offers versatile image processing for various use cases, allowing users to easily select and customize processing options without needing specialized expertise.

  • Image processing can be easily executed on the cloud via a network.
  • Robust security is implemented with SSL/SSH.
  • Image processing options can be freely selected and customized depending on use cases.
  • No need for costly image processing devices or software.
  • Image processing is modularized for different use cases, eliminating the need for complicated settings.
  • WebAPI allows it to be integrated with the user’s own web service.
  • WebGUI allows it to be used via a desktop computer interface.
  • upports a wide range of image formats and video files.
  • Also supports video streaming (receiving and transmitting)

Service 01
WebAPI image processing service

This is a basic service providing image processing over a network. Image processing is executed by sending and receiving still image and video files through an API and an existing web server, allowing new services to be added to existing websites.

Service 02
WebGUI image processing service

This service offers image processing for still images and video files from digital cameras and other visual data using a simple desktop computer-based interface. Operations equivalent to the image processing software can be performed via a web browser.
It can be operated without purchasing costly image processing software or having specialized expertise and programming knowledge.

Service 03
Streaming-based image processing service

This service delivers image processing via video streaming by receiving real-time video and transmitting the results via a video stream or an outgoing call (via email or SMS).
Streamed video can also be stored with the storage service when necessary.

Image distillation for various use cases (video streaming compatible)

1. LS-DEF Image Distillation

This technology makes still images and videos taken in poor shooting environments, such as dark images taken at night, low-contrast images from inclement weather, and images with crushed shadows due to backlighting, clearly visible. It can also be used for surface inspections by highlighting scratches and textures on the object’s surface.
While LS-DEF might sometimes produce results similar to typical HDR or CLAHE image processing, it offers several distinct advantages.

●Unlike HDR, which requires multiple images with varying exposure, LS-DEF just processes one image, making it suitable for video as well.
●CLAHE processes images by dividing the surface into various areas. LS-DEF does not do this, allowing it to produce natural results without visible division boundaries.
●LS-DEF requires fewer parameters and does not necessitate setting adjustments based on the shooting environment.

2.LS-FCF Flat Corrector

Flat Corrector is an image processing technique that arithmetically determines the distribution of brightness and darkness in an image and corrects dark areas. By smoothing out the brightness, it corrects images that are dark, backlit or have noticeable lens vignetting. It is not affected by the bit depth of an image because it employs arithmetic calculation. It works by analyzing the brightness distribution of an image and then correcting the brightness and contrast based on this analysis, as illustrated in the sample image below. Unlike general lens correction, which requires data for each lens, this method analyzes the distribution directly from the image itself.

3. LS-Restoration Degradation Repair

This form of image processing arithmetically restores out-of-focus areas in images caused by lens distortion or low resolution. Unlike typical sharpening, which results in exaggerated edges, this offers sharpening by restoring the resolution. The resolution is improved by restoring the original two lines of a blurred image that have concentrated into one line.

Video streaming-based processing for various use cases

1. Motion detection

Detects significant movement within a specified area of the screen. Multiple detection algorithms are provided for various applications.
●Detecting people: Detects motion of a fixed-size by specifying the size of a person on the screen.
●Marine detection: Detects marine vessels at sea. It achieves a low false positive rate by canceling the motion of waves and floating objects, which is difficult with general motion detection.
●Specializing in nighttime infrared images, this system detects vermin, which appear as white. It achieves a low false positive rate by canceling background fluctuation caused by wind, which is difficult with general motion detection. (*proposed)

how our algorithm neither creates nor manufactures images

Lisr®and Re:Na®are both technologies that they process only the recorded still image or video data that already exists. This is completely different from technologies used to create and manufacture images. Our algorithms use only the information available in the visual data to reproduce the true form of still images and videos meaning the results meet the standards for admissibility in a court of law.
