Infrastructure

Enhancing the efficiency and safety of remote monitoring
by applying visibility refinement to drones and surveillance cameras.

Logic & Design’s visibility refinement technology demonstrates its true value in situations that require remote monitoring through equipment, such as drones and surveillance cameras for rivers, volcanoes and industrial facilities.
Read on to find out how our two core technologies—LISr®image distillation and Re:Na®advanced resolution restoration—are being utilized and how they can deliver effective solutions to myriad issues.

Our Technology

Visibility refinement technologies can be applied to the following situations.

Drones

Identifying cracks in infrastructure, including under bridges and on skyscraper walls

River/volcano monitoring cameras

Checking for signs of swollen rivers or impending eruptions

Industrial surveillance cameras

Checking product quality and workflows at production lines

Autonomous vehicle onboard cameras

Confirmation of source footage

Our two core technologies—LISr® image distillation and Re:Na® advanced resolution restoration—can be tailored to scenarios where footage sourced from remote monitoring must be viewed with more clarity and deployment in hazardous environments where minimizing human presence is paramount.

LISr® image distillation
for clearer images

Real-time data processing is achieved simply through connection to currently deployed drones or surveillance cameras,
enabling immediate viewing of distilled footage. The footage is automatically regulated, eliminating the hassle of needing to switch between settings.

Side-by-side comparison
Re:Na® advanced resolution restoration
for when there is a need to enlarge footage

When an image is enlarged,
it typically becomes blurry and the quality degrades.
This degradation can be restored by decomposing and recalculating the frequencies in the original image resulting in high-resolution images.

Side-by-side comparison

Image distillation technology is registered
in NETIS.

Registered in the NETIS database, which is managed by the Japanese Government’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism for the purpose of disseminating and providing information on new technologies, Logic & Design’s image distillation technology has the potential to be applied across a wide range of scenarios in the future.
*NETIS registration number: KT-220008-A

how our algorithm neither creates nor manufactures images

Lisr®and Re:Na®are both technologies that they process only the recorded still image or video data that already exists. This is completely different from technologies used to create and manufacture images. Our algorithms use only the information available in the visual data to reproduce the true form of still images and videos meaning the results meet the standards for admissibility in a court of law.
